By 7pm, your Uncle Joe was already daring you to join him for Round Three of at the Thanksgiving dinner buffet. By 8pm, you’d sampled (heavily) three different types of pie. By 11pm, the champagne bottles had run dry and your waistband was mercifully unbuttoned.
Lots of us wake up bloated and hungover the morning after Turkey Day. Rather than lie down and groan all afternoon, pour yourself a glass of kefir. The probiotics and fiber will help speed digestion, meaning whatever’s left in your stomach will say Sayonara a little more quickly. The cool liquid will also soothe a sore throat (someone had to yell “Food coma!” before passing out on the couch) and offers a protective coating for the tummy, which can come in handy with all those acidic post-gorging juices sloshing around. And if you want to use it as a chaser for all those leftover turkey-and-cranberry sandwiches, we understand. It only comes once a year, after all.
