Craziest Food Containers

We were watching Unwrapped on the Food Network last night and our stomachs were growling from the crazy-delicious treats profiled. The theme of the show was “Crazy Containers,” all sorts of tempting and uber-creative goodies like Cupcake in a Jar, Pizza in a Cone, Sushi Poppers, Pez and more.
The Cupcake in a Jar is one bakery’s take on a deconstructed cupcake – they payer slices of cupcake with frosting and toppings in an old-fashioned mason jar, and you eat it with a spoon. We’re jonesing for the Old School flavor: Chocolate cupcake layered with chocolate ganache, fresh whipped cream and vanilla buttercream. Mmmm…not very waistline-friendly, but easy on the tastebuds!
Pizza in a Cone is exactly what it sounds like, but we're born-and-bred Chicagoans here at Lifeway, which means we like deep dish, not thin crust. And there's just no way you can wrap a 5-pound slice of stuffed deep dish 'za into a cone.
As for Sushi Poppers, we’re not sure we want to eat our California Roll from a tube. Sure, it helps the environment but reducing the need for chopsticks, but the only foods we like in a tube are Push-Ups.
Now we just need to convince the Food Network to feature Lifeway on a new Kefir…Unwrapped!
